Did you know an unsecured WiFi network is a prime target for cyber threats? As an MSP/MSSP, we highly recommend making your WiFi security a priority. Here’s a short guide:
1. Check Your WiFi: Scan all your WiFi networks. Make sure each one is password protected. If you see an open network, secure it ASAP.
2. Unique Names: Give each of your WiFi networks a unique name (SSID) that doesn’t reveal personal info or business identity. Avoid obvious names like “Joe’s Café” or “XYZ Office.”
3. Ditch Default Passwords: Your router comes with a default password that’s easy to guess. Change it! Make sure to choose a complex, unique password that combines letters, numbers, and symbols.
4. Disable WPS: While WPS makes connecting devices easier, it can be a weak point in your WiFi security. Disable it to keep intruders at bay.
Your WiFi security is as essential as locking your office at the end of the day. Protect it and safeguard your business. #CyberSecurity #SmallBusinessTips
